Working together

Huy guys,

This week for P.E we have been playing games in big and small groups. Then rating our selves with numbers, each number was a stage of where we are. There were four stages.

Our first activity was Floor Hockey for this activity, I rated my self a three. During the game, I showed that I am working at level three by using positive words towards my team, also helping the team reach our goal witch was get the most points. These examples show that I have met the standard for level three.

Our second activity was Six corner soccer playing in small groups, For this activity, I rated my self a four. I showed that I am working at level four by including myself to the game and encouraging my team. These examples show that I have met the standard for level four.

Next week I am aiming to aim for level four. To do this I will try and be a leader by giving my group feedback and encouraging them if they give up.

My own song

Hi guys,

The past two weeks for music Hurumanu we have been making a song. I made themed on fortnite. (Prepared to be cringed out) in our song, we had to have metaphors at the end I will tell you guys them.

Verse 1:

Fortnite, it’s not just two weeks. 

You can play as a character and rack up your killstreak.

Northeast from lucky landing is where I land

It has palm trees coconuts and a lot of sand.

Chorus:

Fortnite it’s what I do holidays and weekends 

Just can't get enough

With lots to do and a heap of fun

Run into the action like Usain Bolt

Spraying your gun and build your walls 

It's a whole heap of excitement

Catch me if you can but I'm faster then a cheater.  

Verse 2:

Mecha was fighting for us and I knew he was leaving soon He's about to make a new home based upon the moon

Soccer skin comes but he can't see me shoot

Back to the lobby, and I'll take that golden loot

Working as a team

Hi guys,

Our first activity was kick long ball For this activity, I rated my self as a 4. During the game, I showed that I am working at level four by making a contribution to the team goal witch was score the most runs also used the positive word to encourage my team. These examples show that I have met the standard for level four.

Our second activity was bench ball playing in small groups For this activity, I rated my self a three. To achieve level three we have to show that we can consistently make a contribution to the team goal, include me to the activity. During the first game of bench ball, I showed that I am working at level three by including myself to the game and using positive words. These examples show that I have met the standard for level 2.

Next week I am aiming to work at level four To make sure that I am working that level I am going to work on using positive actions.

Charlesworth Reserve

Hi guys,
Today I and my C.I.P class has been doing some research about Charlesworth Reserve Here it is.

On the 10th June 1875, William helped cut some trees down. He accidentally chopped his foot and five days later he was buried with his wife and son. 

William was born in Yorkshire England in 1814. At a young age, William took to the sea and worked as the first mate on a boat named The Brothers which went around the Pacific.  he got the title of Captain when he owned a vessel called the Royal Saxon in the boat he travelled as far south as Australia and even seeing the shores of Russia.

The reserve is named after Captain Wiliam Charlesworth, after he brought the land. Sadly tho he passed away in 1875 ( Born in 1914 )  He was also from England 

This 20 ha of land, was in the estuary by Linwood Ave and Humphries Drive, Over 100,000 trees are now being planted there 

1. What: It's an old farm that has been made into a reserve.
2. Where: estuary by Linwood Ave and Humphries Drive
3. Why: Captain Wiliam Charlesworth brought the land

Music Hurumanu

Hi, guys welcome back so today I have moved on to a new Hurumanu for term 3. My new Hurumanu is music, today Mr Michall has brought in a couple different types of guitars. Also, we learnt about the different types of guitar and parts. we made a glossary, and I will be sharing some of those ideas. 

1. A Dreadnought guitar is a guitar with a big body.

2.  A backpackers guitar is a very small guitar you can take places.

3. A Naylon string guitar has Naylon strings and is used to play classical music.
