Hello everyone,
Today I have been reading a book called Finder's keeper this book is about dinosaurs in NZ. In the book, it tells you what dinosaurs are why they could have gone extinct.
Lots of people thought NZ didn't have dinosaurs just birds seals etc, butt in 1975 a lady by the name of Joan Wiffen discovered the first dinosaur fossil. It was a small piece of a dinosaur's tailbone, she found it in a rock in the Mangahouanga stream in central Hawke's Bay. Joan and her friends found more fossils after that.
Not many fossils have been found in NZ most fossils found are little parts of tailbones, rib bones and bones from the forepaws. No skeletons, skulls or teeth have ever been found.
well, that's all for today guys I hope I have just taught you something Bye!
